The merino is non-mulesed, superfine and has travelled ~300km from farm to scourer to us. It is gorgeously soft with amazing comfort and elasticity. It is a superfine, not super-washed, yarn. It is therefore as environmentally friendly as a yarn can be.
The linen had to travel further because Australia does not grow linen for yarn proecessing. It has come from Belgium and it is one of the most sustainable natural finres in the world.
The wool has been scoured to remove the lanolin, but it is not carbonised. It means that it is better for for you and the environment.
Our solar system supplies most of the electricity for our processing.
We want to take care of our property, our land and our animals. And we strongly believe in being sustainable, ethical and environmentally responsible. These aren’t just words but a lifestyle and an ethos that is embedded in all of our yarns.
The coloured yarns have been commercially dyed at the Geelong Dyehouse.
